Econet InfraCo Lists on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) at $1bn valuation

Econet InfraCo has officially been listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), marking a historic milestone for both the company and Zimbabwe’s capital markets.

Valued at approximately US$1 billion, the debut represents the largest listing in Zimbabwe’s capital markets history, underscoring the scale and strategic importance of Econet InfraCo’s infrastructure platform.

The listing ceremony in Victoria Falls brought together government leaders, investors and industry partners to celebrate a moment that signals growing confidence in Zimbabwe’s infrastructure and investment landscape.

Reflecting on the milestone, Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa described the listing as an important step in unlocking the long-term value of infrastructure assets and positioning them for sustainable growth and investment.

Chairman Godfrey Gomwe emphasised that InfraCo is “already operating at scale,” highlighting disciplined execution, strong governance and the unlocking of asset value as key priorities as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Government also welcomed the development. Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube noted that the listing demonstrates Zimbabwe’s progress in strengthening its capital markets and sends a clear signal to investors that the country remains open for business and infrastructure investment.

Econet InfraCo consolidates key infrastructure assets that power Zimbabwe’s digital economy, including telecommunications towers, renewable energy systems and strategic real estate. Together, these platforms form the backbone supporting connectivity, digital services and economic activity across the country.

While much of this infrastructure operates quietly behind the scenes, its impact is felt every day, enabling communication, powering digital services and supporting the systems that keep businesses and communities connected.

The listing marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as Econet InfraCo continues building the infrastructure that powers Zimbabwe’s digital and economic future.
